It is essential for a company to have the necessary technology to stay on the cutting edge in a globalized world, to stay close to the customer, to keep up to date with new trends and to keep track of its own business.

They improve and make the processes in a company more efficient, since through an email you can keep in touch with the person in charge of another department or send the reports requested by the director of the company, thus saving time, money and effort, taking the development of the company to a higher level.

Hi Karina, as I was reading your answers I noticed that you summarized the information from the video that the professor shared. But I would like to talk about the differences I found in the question "Describe the role of technological discoveries throughout history.", I answered that the telegraph and telephone marked the rapid growth in information technology, the computers were used to handle data processing and development of fiber optics, local area networks and satellite technology facilited the growth of information technology.
