Business Communication. Exercise 1



    1. How do you define communication? 

Communication is a way of giving information to other people, it is a skill that we can develop to communicate in a correct way the ideas we have and not only in the way we speak but also in the way we stand, sit, etc. while we speak.

2. What is the role of communication in the management of business? 

Is an important role because the way we communicate with people inside and outside the company helps to develop and grow as expected if communication is good.



3. What are the different purposes of communication? Briefly explain any five of them.

1. For instruction:
when processes or the way of doing things are communicated from the highest to the lowest level to maintain the proper process of doing things right

3. For information:
to be informed in the company is vital for it to work and they need that all the people are aware of the notices or news that there is in the company.

4. For evaluation:
evaluation requires effective communication that must ensure compliance with the rules and processes in which the tasks are performed.

6. For teaching:
it is necessary to teach and educate workers about personal safety within the company and how to avoid an accident.

7. For influencing:
having the power to persuade people is necessary in this communication to influence others. 


4. Discuss the different situations when the communication exists. 

From the way we dress, the way we walk and the facial expressions we make when we speak or not speak, we are communicating an emotion, and these things are more influential when we have direct communication with people and we are able to deliver a complete message.


5. “Communication is an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions and emotions by two or more persons.” Explain The statement and discuss the role of feedback in communication

when we communicate with someone it is impossible to add in our sentences the opinion we have on any subject and within them go our ideas and emotions to make clear the position we have on the subject we are talking about.

6. “Communication is the two way process.” Explain. 

There is no communication if we only have one person, then we need to have both the receiver and the sender to have an exchange of ideas, thoughts and opinions.


7. Discuss the elements of communication process. 

If any element of the communication elements is missing, the communication does not exist, since there may be multiple ways of sending the message, either spoken or written, but there must always be the receiver and the sender.


8. Give three examples of brain drain in communication process.


When we treat someone incorrectly because of the culture they have or the country they come from.

When someone is discriminated against because of their skin color, their body or a particular faction.

When you speak the language with an accent
